MSH Interiors

From the First Selection to the Final Detail.

Some clients need help choosing finishes for their new home. Others want someone to carry the vision all the way through — furniture, custom pieces, window treatments, art, accessories, and the details that make the finished home feel complete. MSH Interiors can do both.

Led by Holly and backed by the experience and resources of Mike Stevens Homes, our interior design services can be tailored to the extent of involvement you want, whether you’re building a new custom home, undertaking a large-scale renovation or addition, or simply want a more complete design experience from beginning to end.

Interiors, Your Way.

Where to Begin

Start With the Home. Or Start With the Room.

There isn’t one point where interior design has to begin. For a new Mike Stevens Homes build, Holly can become part of the conversation while the home is still taking shape, helping selections work together rather than treating each decision as an isolated choice. For a large-scale renovation or addition, she can help establish the interior direction alongside the work being planned.

And when the construction decisions are finished, MSH Interiors can keep going. As far as you want to take it.

That flexibility is important. You may want guidance through selections and then take it from there. You may already have an interior designer you love. Or you may want Holly involved through the final piece of furniture and the last accessory placed in the room. The service is built around what you need.

New Custom Homes

Interior Selections for New Custom Homes

There are a lot of decisions between an empty set of plans and a finished home. Cabinetry. Flooring. Stone. Tile. Countertops. Plumbing fixtures. Lighting. Hardware. Paint. Wall treatments. Interior doors. Trim details. Finishes. Each decision affects the next.

Holly works alongside homeowners and the Mike Stevens Homes team throughout the build to help those choices feel connected to the overall vision for the home. That can include time in our Knoxville design center, visits to showrooms and vendors, reviewing samples, developing material combinations, and working directly with the craftsmen, suppliers, artisans, and specialists involved in the project.

The goal isn’t to choose what’s “in.” It’s to create an interior that belongs in your home.

Beyond the Build

Interior Design, Past the Last Coat of Paint

Interior design doesn’t have to stop once the cabinets are installed and the paint is dry. For homeowners who want a completely finished home, Holly can continue the design into the spaces themselves — considering how each room will be lived in and what it needs to feel complete.

That can include furniture and space planning, custom-made furniture and one-of-a-kind pieces, rugs and textiles, custom window treatments, art and custom murals, lighting and decorative fixtures, bedding and soft goods, accessories, décor, styling, and final installation.

Some pieces may be sourced. Others can be designed and made specifically for the home. Not just furnished. Curated.

One of a Kind

Custom Means More Than Custom Construction.

Through the relationships Mike Stevens Homes has built with craftsmen, artisans, vendors, and specialists, Holly can help create details that are truly specific to a home: a custom table, a one-of-a-kind cabinet, a mural, a furniture piece made to fit exactly where it belongs, custom drapery, an unexpected finish or material. The little things no one else will have, because they were created for this room, in this home, for you.

That’s where interior design becomes deeply personal.

Renovations & Additions

Large-Scale Renovations & Additions

A major renovation changes more than the construction. It can change how the entire home looks, feels, and functions. MSH Interiors can work alongside the Mike Stevens Homes renovation team to develop the interior direction for large-scale residential renovations and additions, helping new spaces feel considered in relation to the rest of the home.

That might include reworking a kitchen as part of a larger renovation, designing the interiors of a substantial addition, updating finishes throughout a home, furnishing newly created spaces, or carrying a new design direction across multiple rooms. And because the construction and interior conversations can happen alongside one another, decisions about the finished space can be considered while the work itself is being planned.

The Difference

A Home That Feels Finished.

There is a difference between construction being complete and a home feeling complete. It’s the chair in exactly the right corner. The window treatment that softens the room. The art you notice every time you walk past it. The table everyone ends up gathered around. The layers of texture, color, lighting, furniture, and objects that make a beautiful space feel lived in.

Those details are personal. They should be. MSH Interiors can take a home from the decisions made during construction all the way through the details you live with every day.

Your Call

How Much Help Do You Want?

That’s up to you. You can work with MSH Interiors for the extent of design help that makes sense for your project.

Selections during construction.

Guidance through the materials, fixtures, finishes, and details being incorporated into your new home or renovation.

Interior design.

Developing rooms beyond construction selections, including furniture layouts, furnishings, textiles, lighting, window treatments, art, and décor.

Full-home interiors.

A cohesive interior vision carried throughout the home, including sourcing, custom pieces, furnishings, and installation.

The finishing layer.

Styling and curation that brings the rooms together once the larger pieces are in place.

And if you’re building with Mike Stevens Homes but already working with an interior designer, that’s okay, too. Our team can work alongside the designer you bring to the project.
